  • Jeff Hunter Jeff Hunter | Chairman

    Jeff Hunter is the founder and CEO of IMOBIX. He is a senior professional with 16 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, 13 of which have been focused on the North America, Caribbean & Latin America regions. Mr. Hunter has been instrumental in the startup of several regional mobile operators and is an active participant in the GSM Association, GSM Latin America, and AHCIET. He has been invited as a speaker at mobile industry events like GSM Association regional meetings, CITEL, AHCIET Movil and CARICAM Mobile.

    Mr. Hunter has extensive knowledge of roaming product and business development and mobile OSS/BSS architecture, especially in the areas of rating, billing, and interconnect. He has written and delivered training on subjects such as: international roaming strategy, roaming operations, and OSS/BSS architecture.

    Mr. Hunter worked as a senior consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers to help develop their telecom consulting practice in the Americas and was the Country Manager and Sr. Sales Executive for Convergys in Argentina. He has occupied key roaming roles at operators such as Iridum, T-Mobile USA and Suncom Wireless.

    He is the pioneer of Roaming Drive Test technologies and has been a significant contributor and supporter for the development of industry initiatives such as roaming QoS/GRQ, reduced inadvertent/border roaming, NRTRDE, and Open Connectivity.

  • Ian Marwood Ian Marwood | Director

    Ian Marwood is the Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer for IMOBIX as well as the Regional Director for Caribbean and North America.

    Ian Marwood is a senior professional with 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Over the last 16 years he held senior positions in the mobile GSM business with mobile operators in Europe and the Caribbean. In his last two appointments within Digicel and T-Mobile UK, he was the Director of Carrier Services responsible for the international carrier and roaming businesses.

    During the early days of the GSM Industry, Ian played a key role within the GSM Association in developing joint positions and lobbying activities in respect of EC regulatory proposals and further activities including participation in European Interest Group with respect to EU regulatory initiatives.

    Ian is a chartered engineer with a strong technical background also holding experience in the areas of telecommunications regulation, licensing and spectrum management.

  • Guendalina Rossi Guendalina Rossi | Director

    Guendalina Rossi is the Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer for IMOBIX as well as the Regional Director for EMEA.

    Ms. Guendalina Rossi is a senior industry professional with over 10 years of experience in the mobile industry contributing to the launch of innovative, large scale projects such as Cross-Protocol Roaming, iMODE, CAMEL and starting up one of the first UMTS operators with Telefonica-Sonera’s Group 3G.

    Ms. Rossi has a strong International Marketing and Project Management background and in-depth understanding of international standards and technologies.

    She has contributed substantially to the penetration of CAMEL Roaming for pre and post-pay user as an original member and chairwoman of a GSM Association Task Force (CAMEL-BARG). Ms. Rossi has brought tangible results in the Roaming business and its optimization while working for key players such as E-Plus (KPN Group), Telefonica-Sonera joint venture or O2.

  • Jim Martinek Jim Martinek | Director

    Jim Martinek is a seasoned telecoms professional with 24 years of experience in the wireless industry in the USA and internationally.

    Most recently, Mr. Martinek led a small team at T-Mobile USA focused on strengthening relationships between T-Mobile and its Roaming and MVNO partners. This strategic role evolved over the course of 5 years to: prioritize relationships based on balance-of-trade opportunities, increase the visibility and influence of these wholesale businesses, and leverage the strengths of T-Mobile’s global reach.

    In a number of consulting roles before joining T-Mobile, Mr. Martinek applied his in-depth knowledge of the wireless business to help clients improve operating processes and margins, maximize revenue, and operate more efficiently at companies such as: Western Wireless (Alltel), Iridium, Connect Austria (One).

    Mr. Martinek started his wireless career in 1985 helping start-up operators create business processes and methods tied to the first computer applications for Customer Care and Billing. During his career with McCaw Cellular Communications/AT&T Wireless he led teams in: IT Application Training, Software & Application Development and Maintenance, Billing Operations, Revenue Assurance, Roaming & Inter-operator operations and settlement.
